MN Insurance Continuing Education Online Renewal Requirements:

• ***Effective on July, 1st 2010*** Insurance Producer Continuing Education will now consist of 24-Hours, including 3-hours of Ethics.  All the hours can also be obtain through self-study online courses, or through textbooks courses.
• Prior to July 1st, 2010: 30 hours were required biennially (Only 50% of the total CE requirement may be met through self-study, the remaining half must be completed in a classroom).
• All Minnesota licensed resident insurance producers who sell federal flood insurance policies shall be required to complete a one time 2 hour requirement on flood insurance.
• All Minnesota producers must complete a one time 8 hour training course in Long Term Care course before they can sell, solicit, or negotiate Long-Term Care insurance or Partnership Policy. The initial one-time training course can not be less than 8 hours long, and an ongoing training must be no less than 4 hours long and occur every 24 months.
